Every container,
every customer,
everyday!

Local people. Local service. Local impact.

We're a family-owned and operated business running authorised Containers for Change refund points across Rockhampton, Gracemere and the Capricorn Coast, with pop-ups in the communities around them.

Cashing in the household recycling, setting up collections at work or raising money for a local cause, our team is here to help.

How it works

  1. Collect

Save your empty eligible drink containers. Tip out any liquid, take the lids off before you bring them to a depot, and keep rubbish out.

  2. Return

Drive through one of our staffed refund points, or book a collection if you're in a service area.

  3. Get paid

Every eligible container earns a 10c scheme refund. Keep it, or donate it to a participating organisation.

Local containers,
local impact

Containers for Community helps local charities, schools, sporting clubs and community groups turn eligible drink containers into funds for their activities, projects and services. We like giving local organisations a practical way to fundraise for themselves.

FAQs

Not sure if something counts? The official Queensland checker has the final say on every product.

Check eligibility (Containers for Change, opens in a new tab)

Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers from 150mL to 3L qualify for a 10c refund, as long as the product is part of the Queensland scheme.

Most eligible containers carry a 10c refund mark, but the mark on its own doesn't guarantee Queensland eligibility. Glass wine and pure spirit bottles from 150mL to 3L qualify too, and don't need to show the mark until January 2027.

Check a product with the official Queensland eligibility checker, or scan its barcode in the Containers for Change app.
